OralVive (0.8% hyaluronic acid gel formulation) is a physical barrier gel for topical application to teeth and gums. It is supplied as 3mL of gel in a 3mL prefilled capped luer-lock syringe with 4 separate applicator tips per pack. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring biomaterial that works to improve tissue recovery via multiple mechanisms of action, including:Support normal cellular infiltrationStabilise blood clottingEstablish microbial barrier to support tissue healing and recovery Dental applications of hyaluronic acid have shown statistically significant efficacy in 5+ canine studies and 100+ human studies. The product is liquid at cold temperatures (2???8??C) and forms a gel at body temperature (36-37??C) to help it stay comfortably in place in the mouth, after application. It should be stored in a cool place, but not the refrigerator. However, if the product feels too thick or gel-like before use, briefly chilling it in the refrigerator can help restore a more fluid consistency for easier application if required.
